Maude’s Book Club wrapped up Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, and the entire community LOVED reading it together. Yes, it’s a bit spicy, but it is a Romantasy novel that everyone can enjoy. Who doesn’t love dragons, special powers, and enemies-to-lovers?
Here at MBC, we love our fantasy books! So we had to read one of the biggest fantasy books of 2023! Yarros has said that this is a starter fantasy book anyone can get into. Some fantasy books can be dense or have many books in the series, but Fourth Wing is straightforward and fun.
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general — also known as her tough-as-talons mother — has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.
But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away…because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans.
They incinerate them.
