Convincing You to Read Books by Sarah J. Maas

If you have Goodreads and follow Maude Garrett, Amanda Tass, or Amanda Guarragi (me), you know that we have been diving into books by Sarah J. Maas. And if you don’t follow us on there, come on over! Maude has read every single book by Mass and she has become one of her favourite insta-buy authors.

Amanda Tass has read A Court of Thorn and Roses and Throne of Glass. At the same time, I have added both of them to my TBR and will get to them eventually.

But that’s the beauty of a fantasy author like Sarah J. Maas. She crafts such extraordinary worlds that no matter when you read her novels, you’re automatically pulled in and fall for the characters.

Sarah J. Maas is the #1 New York Times and internationally bestselling author of the Crescent City, A Court of Thorn and Roses, and Throne of Glass series. Her books have sold more than twelve million copies and are published in thirty-seven languages. A New York native, Sarah lives in Philadelphia with her husband, son, and dog.

Why You Should Pick Up One Of Sarah J. Maas’ Books

If you are a huge fan of romance and high fantasy, Maas combines the two in every series. The themes explored throughout test relationships and the overall status of the characters. Maas creates such grand worlds with well-developed characters that can withstand the longevity of each series. She writes morally grey characters, and there’s always a sense of discovering something new. There’s a way to ground your characters. Maas does that by making them imperfect.

Whichever book you pick up from Maas, you’ll understand why people have been raving about her books. The fantasy story is there, but the characters become so familiar that you’ll want to pick up the next one in the series, immediately. It’s not so much the protagonists that get the time to grow throughout her series, but every single character has their journey alongside them. Maas has brought a new fantasy world to readers who may miss the Twilight or The Hunger Games days.
