5 Fantasy Books About Mermaids You Should Read

In light of The Little Mermaid's new Disney live-action remake, there is a whole Fantasy world to discover when it comes to mermaids. For many years mermaids have been understood because of the Pirate lore that came with it. Many men at sea would be out there for months, and they could have begun to hallucinate. Whether they were starving or dehydrated, those men would claim that mermaids, or a term more associated with evil, a siren, would lure men to their deaths.

The five Fantasy Young Adult novels below have engaging stories and diverse characters that will bring you into the high fantasy world with these mermaids. There’s some drama, romance, and a splash of horror.
