July 2022 Selection: ‘Gideon the Ninth’ by Tamsyn Muir
Maude’s July selection has lesbian necromancers! This month the community has chosen, Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir. Every month Maude chooses a new Fantasy or Sci-Fi novel with our book club. She uses Good Reads to keep everything in one space.
Synopsis:
“The Emperor needs necromancers. The Ninth necromancer needs a swordsman. Gideon has a sword, some dirty magazines, and no more time for undead bullshit. Brought up by unfriendly, ossifying nuns, ancient retainers, and countless skeletons, Gideon is ready to abandon a life of servitude and an afterlife as a reanimated corpse.”

(56:58) Zelda interrupts the live stream and she burps a couple of times into the microphone and she’s growling at Maude.
