‘Murderbot Diaries’ Series In the Works At Apple TV Plus
Hello, Sci-fi fans!
If you have been with Maude’s Book Club for a while, you know Maude Garrett LOVES Martha Wells and the Murderbot Diaries!
The Murderbot Diaries series has been picked up by Apple TV Plus. The streaming service has had success with other book adaptations like Defending Jacob, Pachinko, Black Bird, Lessons in Chemistry, and the legendary sci-fi series Foundation and Silo.
Three filmmakers have signed on to write, direct and produce. Paul Weitz and Robert Weitz have their production company called “Depth of Field.” Weitz has worked on films like Fatherhood and The Farewell and, most recently, was behind the sci-fi hit The Creator. Andrew Miano and David S. Goyer are executive producers alongside Keith Levine with his Phantom Four company. Martha Wells will serve as consulting producer. Science fiction lovers are on board with this series, and that will make it special.
It will be structured into a 10-episode science fiction drama series starring and executive-produced by Emmy-winning actor Alexander Skarsgård. Everyone apart of this series has had an incredible background in the genre, and Skarsgård is beyond talented to take on this role. Having Wells as a producer on the project is vital so it can be adapted properly, and fans of the series will be happy with the final product.
